Abundant New Life II Ministries' mission focus on changing the lives of others by teaching and preaching the Holy Bible to develop spiritual growth, a personal relationship with God and building a foundation with family values through prayer, faith and deliverance.
Meet Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr.
Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr. is an anointed spiritual leader and profound teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1996. As an ordained Elder, he has helped countless others spiritually and naturally. As an organizer and founder of the former Abundant New Life Church in Chicago, IL for 15 years, Pastor Spain’s prophetic gift and teaching ministry as well as gift of healing has changed the lives of others and encouraged the saints to strengthen their spiritual relationship with God. Pastor Elder Spain is also a devoted husband to Evangelist Marvel Spain since 1992 and he is the father of their two sons.
As a former pastor, Elder Spain was responsible for creating outreach programs, working with political leaders to make changes in the impoverish community along with establishing a before and after-school program for families in the Austin Area as well as organizing an annual Food Drive for 15 years. Some of the programs, Pastor Spain was responsible for spearheading for the community were health fairs, health screening programs with medical institutions, car seat giveaway for families, and annual toy drives for children.
Along with his love for the people of God, Pastor Elder Ricky Spain focused on educating himself about the business field. While earning his Master of Science Degree in Business, Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr. extended his teaching gift in the professional field to become a college professor.
Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr. served as Sunday School Superintendent under Bishop George Deal -Friendship District under the leadership of Bishop James E. Washington of Fifth Illinois Jurisdiction West COGIC. For 12 years, Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr. also served under the leadership of Chairman and Pastor Eugene Fears, Jr. of Redeem Enrichment Ministries. In 2023, After being redirected by God, Pastor Elder Ricky Spain, Sr. has reorganized and re-established the Abundant New Life II Ministries to serve God while leading God's people. He is currently serving as Pastor and Leader of Abundant New Life II Ministries.
Meet First Lady Evangelist Marvel Spain
Evangelist Marvel Spain served in the ministry for 28 years alongside her husband. Also, she formerly served as an Assistant Pastor/First Lady of Abundant New Life Church for 15 years. Evangelist Spain has been a devoted wife to Pastor Elder Ricky Spain Sr. since 1992 and she is the mother of their two sons. Her gift has earned her the ability to teach the word of God and to encourage God’s people to gain spiritual insight that will strengthen their personal relationship with God. As a woman of God, Evangelist Spain focus on encouraging women to seek spiritual and personal growth while navigating life experience and God’s word.
As a mental health professional, she also has mentored, empowered, and counselled women, children and families using biblical principles. Evangelist Spain earned a Master's degree in Education. Her calling to teach also extends outside of the ministry into the professional arena. She is currently working as a college professor since 2012. As a previous owner and operator of Tiny Town For Tots Day Care Center for 14 years, she designed and organized the childcare center to become the first pilot program in the Midwest to receive funding for entrepreneurs interested in the childcare industry. As a former business owner, Evangelist Spain created opportunities and partnered with other outside organizations as well as government officials in underserved communities.
In several ministries, Evangelist Marvel Spain have taught Sunday School of all ages, and she has organized and conducted many services focusing on family, marriages and empowering women. Evangelist Marvel Spain served under the Late Mother Rose M. Smith under the leader of Bishop James E. Washington of Fifth Illinois Jurisdiction West COGIC. While attending and serving for twelve years under Chairman Eugene Fears, Jr and Redeem Enrichment Ministry, Evangelist Spain was consecrated as an Evangelist in the Northern Illinois Jurisdiction COGIC under the leadership of the Late Bishop Cody V. Marshall. First Lady Evangelist Marvel Spain is working alongside her husband as God leads him to organize and establish Abundant New Life II Ministries in 2023.
